Sequent to MFM FC’s early exit from the NFF Aiteo Cup, coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has hinted on quitting the Church after over 12 years at Agege Stadium.
Fidelis Ilechukwu is determined to call time unless he sees things improve at the soccer temple, claiming the Lagos-based side lost six starters this past season as 11 top players left the club and no step was been taken to replace them.
Reports have also suggested that forward Sikiru Olatunbosun has abandoned the club and a new director has been appointed.
On Monday evening, the Olukoya Boys crashed out of the Aiteo Cup after they lost out on penalty shootout to NNL side Sokoto United.
Ilechukwu accused the management of the club for their shock exit lamenting that he has been ‘coaching in pains’.
The recent appointment of Davidson Adejuwon to replace Emmanuel Adeyemi as the club’s director is deemed to have compounded the crisis waging against MFM.
